26. Is Immunocal tax deductible?

In the United States, Immunocal is a neutraceutical listed in the PDR - Physician's Desk Reference which lists all US medications and a few natural products that are scientifically proven to work. Doctors cannot prescribe anything that is not listed in the PDR. This means that doctors can prescribe Immunocal.

See Immunocal PDR listing here.

If your treating physician writes a prescription for Immunocal, you can include the cost of Immunocal into your medical expenses and deduct this expense at tax time.

Your Immunocal prescription will need to include:

  • dosage (i.g. "20g a day" or "20g twice a day")
  • duration (i.e. "for 3 months" or "for 6 months")
